    Hi All

I have a phone interview on thurs for a customer service administrator for a medical devices company and as I never had one before, just wondering what to expect. Is it the same questions they would ask in a face to face to interview or will it be just on cv or just general chit chat????? would I need to know stuff about the company. I am not sure what to expect!!

Is it with HR or the hiring manager? Usually these are just a screener for getting a face-to-face interview.

Assuming it's a first interview, they'll go over your CV & go into detail on parts that are relevant.

    Some tips:
    - make sure you're in a quiet place with NO potential for disturbances
    - make sure your phone is charged (if mobile or cordless)
    - have your CV & the the job spec next to you
    - have a load of pre-canned answers to what you think they'd ask, specific experiences relevant to the role or competencies which are listed

no interview is going to be general chit chat.

Sometimes they are simple enough, sometimes they grill you to hell.

Best advice I can give you is to wear a suit. I know this might sound strange but you tend to feel more important when wearing one and this will come across in the tone of your voice.
