Rare couple of bets in Europe this week :) -

    Dyson @ 40/1
    Singh @ 80/1

In Texas, it's another couple of bets. I'm gonna stick with a guy who last year made absolute mess on this very course, for those wondering.. -

    @ 20/1 :P

    Wanger @ 25/1

You ever have a selection finish in the top 25? You gotta be the worst golf tipster on here but I guess everyone already knows that after your Donald episode last year :pac:

Gotta hand it to you though, you're a trier :D

Have 7 Golfers and want to narrow it down to 4 maybe 5 if really need to.

This type of week kinda seems to be the type of weeks I do well. I kinda prefer when tournaments are open like this weekend.

yeah Singh definitely hinted a return to form, could win one soon if he can hold things together for 4 rounds

Decided to go with these 3 in end all Betfair prices

Scott Piercy. Im going to take a punt on Piercy. I backed him when he won last August so he owes me nothing. He has 3 top 15 finishes this season. He plays better in courses that are longer and this course should tick the boxes for him. He also has the course record around here at 64 and finished within the top 30 the last time he played the Oaks. 94/1

Bobby Gates. A guy that caught my eye in fact he seems to love Norman designed courses. In Australian Tour he had 1 win and 2 top6 finishes and top 15. Finished tied for 15th last year too. His best finish last year tied 5th was on a course also designed by Norman. Here is tweet he sent on twitter."Leaving tomorrow for one of my favorite events! Come out and watch the @valerotxopen all next week at the tough #tpcsanantonio"
"I love the TPC San Antonio and the @valerotxopen staff doa wonderful job. One of my favorites all year." That is enough for me to get on at 209/1

Harris English is my final choice. dont need say anymore I be picking this lad in about 70% of my bets this year.

JB Holmes was one I was really interested in, but his price is on skinny side for me now. Thinking of laying Kuchar, but his price seems about right at present now.

Wish everyone the best of luck.

Kucher placed in the masters60/1 and hunter winner the week before@20/1...

2 average looking fields. I've gone for Kevin Na, 3rd time I've backed him in as many weeks. As mentioned, he's calmed down quite a bit, the head-to-head with Watney last year was CRAZY to watch, but entertaining! Great with a putter, not so much in the woods!

I've gone with Luiten in the China Open, really started to like his golf last year, out-out-outside Ryder Cup chance if he gets a couple of wins together

done 3 to win hoffman at 25s alot of money around for him was 33s wagner at 25s and na..... good luck to all

    China:

    Chris Wood @40/1
Finished like a train on similar links type course 2 weeks ago in Sicily. (2nd)

    Branden Grace @50/1
Won twice already this season. Good all round game. 50s is too big.

    Texas:

    C Tringale @45/1
Stuttered to a 5th place here last year (could have won). Playing well this year. T8 last time out in Houston.

    K Stadler @50/1
4th last week was 3rd top 20 in last 4 starts.

Thanks. It is really worth the risk given the size of the field?

    15/8 on pp

I know some of the field are doing well on the Asia tour but Westwood's class should see him home comfortably in my opinion. Slow greens + his tee to green ability means 15/8 is value.

Backing a few lads on Betfair in China, all for the win and T10
They're all in reasonable form of late, with some of them having a good performance in last years China Open.

    Soren Kjeldsen (65.0, 5.1)
    Rafael Cabrera-Bello (38.0, 5.0)
    Danny Willet (50.0, 6.6)
    Jbe Kruger (65.0, 8.0)

Chris Wood and Jamie Donaldson are the others that i think might go well but I've not backed them...they seem a bit short priced on betfair.

Lovely. Both Lewis and Holmes fooked after one round :(

Westwood on the other hand should have sealed the deal by the time I arrive home from Coppers Sunday morning having drunk the winnings :D

He didn't give any official reason so far as I know.
At least Joost is playing a bit of golf for me in China.
    And obviously the Westwood banker!

What a numpty. He was out of it anyway but still. Wagner is definitely out too.

Fiver on Freddie Jacobsen @ 8/1 for the weekend for interest.

Decided to go with these 3 in end all Betfair prices

    Scott Piercy.
    Bobby Gates.
    Harris English

All 3 made the cut which is start.

English is tied 16th and Piercy is tied 8.

Very compact leaderboard bar top 4, so big moves need to be made today if I am have any chance of picking up few quid for places.

need a quick start from freddie and charley today. might be an advantage going out early today as winds will be up afternoon

Whenever a golfer has a great day he nearly always has a shocker the very next day. Cameron Tringale is +6 through 11 holes after being -7 yesterday. This is an amazing tournament.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 34,460 ✭✭✭✭The_Kew_Tour

even last year when I went on great run my Saturdays always seem to be average at best. Never seem to have mover on Saturday, they always seem to be doing well from the Thursday, if at all. Must have a jinx on them.

Piercy with very outside chance of getting place, English shooting +8 ****s up that bet.

Thank god Westwood did the business in the end as my other picks were horrific.

    Roll on the weekend.
