How do you track mailto clicks using Event Planner on Google analytics?

    Hi everyone,

    I am trying to set up a Mailto Event using Event Tracker on Google Analytics for my company but I am experiencing some problems. This is the code I am looking to put in.

    <a href="mailto:info@thomas.ie?subject=thomas.ie%20Comment%2FSuggestion" onClick="_gaq.push();">info@thomas.ie</a>

    When I check the reports, it does track the event and states that it is there. However, it only tracks one click per event, so I cannot see exactly how many people clicked the e-mail link.

    Does anyone know what the problem is here? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Tom
