garage roof

    just looking at ideas on finishing my garage roof,ive block work done and just deciding on roof,,the house is slates so i want to go slate or slate effect sheeting,,,what im wondering is obviously slates are better than the sheeting but is it that bad ,,its only a garage,,,i have seen this product on aldi ,schools and mc donalds,,,looks ok,,does it age badly??and i got costs of 2500-300 euros for the roof labour parts all in...does this sound ok?its a standard pitch gable roof 8m by 5m garage dimensions..i have read previous posts on slates here and am a bit nervous alot people having trouble with man made slates tegral etc ,,,bowing discolour and twisting etc,,,is this poor construction of trusses roof wood structure or has there been problems last few years with certain brands of slates,,,natural slates are just too dear...any suggestions ideas would be great..sorry for so many questions
