I got one of those USB DVB-T tuners. It works fine for everything except HD content on RTE 2 which is constantly stuttering. Any ideas? I need to get this sorted for the Barca match Wednesday night :pac:

BTW I'm using VLC to broadcast the stations.

VLC to view them? Or to broadcast it online?

When the stream is running/stuttering, press Ctrl+Shift+Escape and check the CPU usage of vlc in the Processes tab.

    VLC needs too much CPU.
    Get decent codec and application.

XP or Windows 7 (Vista needs swapped for XP or Win7)

If you have Win7 the built in media application will be far better to watch HD than VLC.

Unless you have very powerful PC forget about re-encoding HD and streaming.

VLC doesn't use DXVA for H.264 video so it won't perform well on HD.

I meant view them, sorry for the confusion :)

My windows 7 doesn't have media centre, I've no idea why it didn't come installed with my Windows 7 laptop?

Are there any decent free alternatives to DVBViewer?

Is it Windows 7 Starter? That's the only version that shouldn't have it.

It seems I do have it, it was just disabled in my control panel for some reason. Thanks :)
