Moving welfare office

    Hi,

We changed welfare office last week as we moved house. I'm on casual workers and my wife is on JSA.

I have one yellow slip from my old office. Should I hand this in this Thursday to the new office or wait until they issue me with new yellow slips?

Also I presume my wife's money won't be in the post office this week? Will she get a letter to let her know when she can collect?

    Regards

You need to go to your new office and let them know that you have moved to their area, your yellow slips get handed into your new office unless you want your cheque posted to your old address which I doubt.

Your wife can collect her payment in the old post office and it will continue to be there until you tell the new office of your change of address, then you nominate a post office in your new area and it will go there.

Op if you dont want a brake in payments then go to your office asap along with your wife and tell them you have moved.

Hi and thanks for the reply.

I don't think I explained my situation correctly in my OP.

I moved house two weeks ago and have already been down to the new welfare office to inform them of this but they told me it can take ten days to process.

The post office that my partner will collect from will be the same. Will she have to wait for a letter before her money is back in the post office?

Also I have one slip left from my old office, will I hand this in to the new office or wait for them to send me out new slips?

    Regards

your wife goes to the post office as normal to collect it will be there

i think you hand it into the new office, but you are better off ringing them to be sure
