Just saw this on ebay, can't seem to find any details about this Freesat version of it online, anyone any experience of it? It would be interesting to know if it has an MPEG4 tuner in it as well, i know its not a wonderful make of a TV but it could be a bit of a steal if it has and can be got for less than £300.

Says it's 32" further down the page. The postage will be another bit to Ireland. It's also refurnished.

I'm sure I saw Currys UK advertise a 42" Toshiba LED for £399 before Easter.

Its definitely a 46", that is just a typo in the description, scroll down further and you'll see the full spec, the main reason I'm enquiring is because theres Freesat built into it, I know there are many 42" TVs out there for a decent price but once Freesat is built in the price rockets

Open to correction, but I don't think Technika rebadge TV's have ever carried Freesat tuners - Panasonic and high-end Samsung's do.

Thank you to the couple of guys who posted about my query but I would like to ask why the moderators thought fit to move the thread from Satellite to Bargain Alerts, my question was about the specifics of the Satellite and DTT tuners built into the TV, that question was unlikely to be answered in bargain alerts.

Thats exactly the reason why I posted, never heard of it myself but apparantly this one has it built in according to Tesco, maybe it was a test model that didn't get the full go ahead. It did state refurbished in the item description.

    The manual is here:

There's no mention of any satellite tuner, either free-to-air or Freesat. Neither is Technika listed as a manufacturer on the Freesat website.

Why would you buy a refurbed TV off of Ebay UK when you can get brand new big name brand TVs that are saorview approved over here for similar money and in some cases, even cheaper.

    Pointless buying that yoke.

Freeview and Freesat are often mixed up so I'd say that's what happened here. It probably won't have mpeg4 tuner unless it is freeview HD approved. I doubt it has a sat tuner.

    There is a 42" 3D one here

Argos are pretty crap for pricing on TVs.
I have a voucher for €450 from a Sony I bought jan sale 2010 that went blip last December but can't seem to get anything decent for it! :-(

I have bought several technical items from Pixmania with absolutely no problems.

Same here. No Freesat on that Tosh TV either.
