I'm not usually a prude but, seriously, on some of those corners you can't see around they could easily have hit a person coming the other way and knocked them off the track into the depths below. You can see at the end the people aren't impressed to meet mountain bikers on the trail.

They aren't travelling at speed and could stop within a foot when going around them.

Besides, I don't enjoy meeting walkers when doing 30kph on bike trails but it still happens.

I think in my head just watching that I must have fell off at least a half a dozen times.
When the rounded the corner and yer man was just standing there I nearly sh/\t myself, then nearly hit his bike that was just lying there!!

Did anyone notice the three names at the end.... Jello :) was that his real name or just what his legs turned to after doing that!

That was underwhelming. I thought they were going to fall down off or something.

Just don't see the point. It's a crap trail for cycling on, coupled with high risk and little fun to be had. Would rather blast down something in Djouce or Ballinastoe where I'd be getting a decent buzz but without the 100ft drop to worry about. Makes for an intersting video is all...

Ciaran500, that trail is incredible, don't know how he manages to dodge the massive boulders on all sides!

Videos like this make my stomach churn. I have enough problems getting around the ticknock trails without slamming to the ground, this just makes my mind boggle. I'll stick to the happy, happy Pinkbike VODs.

Actually, this in a way reminds me of the aegument about whether the cliff route in Howth was dangerous or not. Must were fine with it, I chastised myself for my weakness in thinking it was just stupidity to take it on, not worth the risk etc. Queue a few weeks ago, I overheard a guy in gym explain why he gets massive pains in his elbows when lifting. Lost it on the steps in Howth on his MTB and came too with part of the bike leaning over the edge and his water bottle falling into the sea.

Awsome Now you know what the deep cutting between Porterstown and Castleknock is like!!!!

Ciaran500 - now that's what I'm talking about! Savage trail with some serious rockery action! Not just awkward corners taken at less than walking pace with sheer drops to one side. Class vid!

Just watching that video makes me feel queasy in places! It strikes me that it's not a particularly nice trail to ride so the only "attraction" is the extreme danger which in itself doesn't appeal to me at all!
