    Hi there,

Just wondering if anyone is having the same problem trying to sync NUIG Mail in Windows Live Mail? Every time I set it up it says it has a problem connecting to the server to download my folders. My Hotmail and Gmail downloaded fine. What settings do you use for IMAP and SMTP? :)

TheCosmicFrog posted this a while back
Can also be done through IMAP if your device or client (such as Mozilla Thunderbird) doesn't support MS Exchange:

    IMAP
    Incoming server: pod51002.outlook.com
    SSL on port 993
    Username: <your NUIG email>
    Password: <CASS password>

    SMTP
    Outgoing server: pod51002.outlook.com
    SSL on port 465
    Username: <your NUIG email>
    Password: <CASS password>

You can also use smtp.gmail.com for SMTP with your Gmail login details :)

What should go in the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) field?

I'm doing this in MS Outlook--does that make a difference?
