Polaroid stopped making instant film years ago, but there are still some sellers of out-of-date stuff who sell on E-Bay at ,usually, exhorbitant prices. The Impossible Project also makes this film now, but it is quite expensive. Of course, Polaroid film was never cheap anyway. and they are doing a good service providing film for old Polaroid cameras, including the SX70 which many people love. I love instant photography myself, but haven't bought any of the new film yet. When it was first produced it was quite unstable and results were unpredictable. I use Instax Wide Format film myself, but it will not fit your Polaroid 600 camera, you need one of the Instax cameras for that. You can get the new Impossible film at www.mathersoflancashire.co.uk, as well as from the makers, but Impossible charge heavy postage to Ireland, even though the film is made in the old Polaroid factory in the Netherlands, because they despatch from the U.S. Perhaps there is someone selling it in Ireland now, I don't know. Why not go on a photography site like www.flickr.com and search for Impossible Project photos before you make up your mind? There are many forums on Flickr about instant film too, but the makers of the new film post on some of them, so if you are looking for an independent opinion, just check out the pictures yourself.

Gunns have/had some Impossible film for sale a while back. You could try Barker Photographic in Cork - they might order it in for you?

BlastedGlute, how do you think the new stuff compares with the old Polaroid type?

    Hi Blasted Glute,

Just ordered a few rolls of the impossible projects new range of film.

Can I ask do you have any tips for shooting?? Did you make the dark box to capture the film once it develops so its not exposed to any light??
