Right so im on the BTEA and we were told by the college that we could get the cost of the field trip reimbursed by the department. I did some searching on Welfare.ie and according to the website it says

"If you are getting the BTEA you do not qualify for the maintenance component of the student grant but you can apply for a fee grant to cover the student contribution and any course tuition fees not already covered by the Free Fees Scheme. Essential field trip costs may also be covered under a fee grant"

But i cant seem to find the form online. Is there even a form online for this? Any help would be appreciated.

The normal grant should pay this (field trips mentioned here)

It's probably too late to apply this year

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

If you get BTEA you are also eligible for a fee grant to pay the student contribution fee of €2000 - Just not the maintenance part of the grant
