    Lads,

How much does galvanising cost and is it practical to ask a company to do it for one or two items like home made gates, or feeding troughs?

Not sure how much it costs but a local blacksmith has got some one off things done in Limerick. AFAIK they charge by the weight of galv put on. Iron has to be really clean though.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

No problem getting one off items done - in Cork anyway.

Items weighed in and out and you pay for weight added.

    Min charge may be €70.

It is usually charged by the weight of the item, and was 80 cent per kg for the last items I got dipped, 3 day turn around at loco steel supplies, cheaper and more convenient than painting, though the minimum charge is 10 euros...
