Skyrim won't load

    Windows 7 64 bit (up to date)
    AMD GFX (up to date drivers)

    Reinstallation didn't work
    Steam file verification didn't work
    Troubleshoot compatibility didn't work

    Tried all of this as well.

    Problem solved....kind of.

    I ended up having to roll back ATI Catalyst driver to 11.9

    Game booted up without a problem then :-/

    It's completely subjective and depends on your system; but I recently tried out the 12.4 Beta Catalyst drivers and they work pretty well for me in Skyrim? (And just about everything else).

    (Two 1GB Mobility Radeon HD 5870's - with Crossfire disabled)

    I might give them a crack for ****s and giggles. Subjective as it may be though, it's far from acceptable.
