For a Next opening up soon :D Delighted.
Does anyone know how I could prepare for interview and what to wear? I was thinking for smart casual, or should I go for suit?

Smart casual would be fine, slacks, shoes and a buttoned shirt... a tie would be optional :) good luck :)

If its an in-store job then I'd go for smart casual with something to show off your personal style, like some jewellery or a pop of color. But just be careful you don't over do it either!

Good luck at the interview though, ya probably already have it in the bag ;)

Well done. I applied for the same thing and never heard back. I also applied for a job with higher requirements and was offered an interview weeks later. They seem quite disorganised.

Good Luck with the interview, I've worked at next before and found the interviews fairly informal but still it's nice to make an effort, I just wore black pants, suit jacket and nice top with heels (cos im short) :p

Questions are usually how you get along in a team, are you organised and punctual, working on your own initiative, would you be comfortable with working with floor staff if required, give an example of a time you dealt with a difficult customer or situation in work:D

Thanks guys, Fastalkerchat, yeah that is weird, least you got the call anyway, well done. I'm not sure if you mean you got a job in Next Carrickmines with higher requirements, or?

    Thanks for the help Amzie

I was looking for a part time job and applied for stockroom assistant and office admin/supervisor in Newry. Weeks later I had started work somewhere else when they invited me to an interview for the office admin/supervisor job. Never heard back from the stockroom job!

Ah I get ya. Better pay? If so, loving life! Did anyone else get called for an interview for Carrickmines out there?

It wasn't better pay but I had committed to the job and I liked the role. It was with a small business so I had more freedom.
