Looks a good card mid week. Thought I'd have the week off from form checking but it appears not!

Might get a decent price on Brick Red who catches my eye in the 2.00 Novices Hurdle.

Hectors Choice and Divers are the ones in the 3.45 Silver Trophy Chase. The former could be over the top though so more interested in the latter.

Look at the rest closer to the day

Not a bad looking card, at a quick glance there are few that could be appealing:

    2:00 - Charm School / Themilanhorse
2:35 - Battlecry, his record is ok around Chelt, he is carrying 10-12 and the yard may just be coming back to form.
3:10 - Themilanhorse / Charm School / Jetnova (if King keeps his strike rate going between now and then)
3:45 - If Wishfullthinking runs I will be all over him, the race against Finians was more like him and with Menorah run Hobbs yard looks back to his best. Failing him running again, Buck Mulligan appeals.
5:30 - Megastar looks very very interesting, I can not figure out why they persevered with him over fences, he is a big horse with a good engine and if he is only shouldering 11-2 he will be worth backing at whatever price.

Don't like the price of Divers although he will probably win. No betting interest but very much looking forward to watching it!

The sales after the racing will be intresting. They are on in the Centuar. Lots of winning Irish pointers entered.

I can't remember a day when I fancied so many horses.

I opened a Totesport account and put a free fiver on Sans Loi in the last at Newmarket at 20/1.

Gonna get dad ;) to open another to back Megastar.

One of my mates ;) will open one to back Rayhani at Dundalk.

Another one ;) might back Regal Realm at Newmarket

And another ;) and me might back Pateese at Cheltenham

Jumps Horse of the year is announced at Sandown on Saturday.

    http://www.racingpost.com/news/horse-racing/big-bucks-kauto-star-synchronised-sprinter-sacre-finians-rainbow-vote-now-for-your-jumps-horse-of-the-year/1016765/top/

Its decided by the public votes on the racing post site.

Does Kauto Star look great value at 3/1 a fter his King George win?

I did'nt think Big Bucks was half as popular with the public.

    odds from PP

    1/4 Big Bucks
    3/1 Kauto Star
    8/1 Sprinter Sacre
    16/1 Synchronised
    33/1 Finians Rainbow

Yea he should of at least been on the list alright.

Who do you think will win yourself Finbarrk.?

    Mine are:

5:30 - Megastar is a big horse with a big engine and his trained has kept him jumping until the Coral which distance wise was beyond him, this trip is 4f shorter and Joshua takes weight off.

4:20 - Rossmore Lad has had 4 runs on good ground with 2 wins and 2 places, he had 7 runs over the trip with 3 wins and a place. Charlie Longsdon is having some season and Maguire is a curious booking, worth an interest.

3:10 - Red Not Blue seems to love Good ground which it looks like he will get, he has 7 runs, 6 wins and a place on it so worth a small interest at big odds.

Bench Warrant is appealing, might have a small interest and possibly Battlecry too

Any chance Synchronised might win given what happened him?

Yea I'd say he'll some get sympathy votes wether he gets enough tho I doubt it.
A case could be made for them all bar Finians realy.

I think the way Kauto came back to form to win the King George the way he did
    he deserves it.

A few for me today. There is a small chance I'll get time for write ups later.

1.50 Newmarket Poole Harbour 7/1 NAP
    5.30 Cheltenham Megastar 12/1
5.55 Newmarket Gung Ho Jack 40/1 NB
    9.05 Kempton Mitie Mouse 14/1

I'd advise everyone to get on Sparkling Portrait, running @ Beverley @ 4.30. Big things expected from this horse and should come home first today.

Edit - Im hearing it's pissing rain at the track so maybe hold off until we hear more about the ground! Always the way!

Still 22.50 no risk is alright.

    One for the tracker...

Poxed by that, did not have Battlecry or Benchwarrent.

Still Duke of Lucca and small ew on Capt Sharpe put me up 30% for the day.
