Large heating system ,probably in excess of 7,000 litres. Solid fuel boiler. Any ideas as to percentage or type of inhibitor for something this size.

7,000 litres! Are you sure? Is it a commercial installation?

Believe it or not it's a house albeit a massive one. I was asked the question by the material suppliers rep so I haven't seen the job. But from what I have been told the system has a very large log burning boiler with 2 x 3000 litre buffers plus the system. What do you reckon?

It would be worth while ringing Fernox or Sentinal regarding this. You have the rough capacity so if you told them they would be able to tell you.
Big maintenance bill though, it only lasts for about 5 years.

Definitely, but the owner has no money worries. But even at 25% that is a hell of a lot of inhibitor(normal MB1 or the like). Just wondering if there was something more concentrated for larger volumes.

Fernox have a free app for iphone that calculates this for you, but it seems to over estimate. You are better to give their tech guys a call.

For the app, you must either input the kw of the boiler or the number of radiators.

Excel industries in coolmine produce protex inhibitor. They use to sell it in 25ltr drums at a discounted price.
