hi just looking for advice please

my father (a taxi man) passed away last year. his taxi licence expires in june 2012. I am currently in the process of transferring the taxi license into my mothers name

i do not know a lot about the industry. is my mother better off to rent the taxi plate or just to sell the plate outright ?

    any advice much appreciated

you might want to try this site as it likely has more active licensees on it

Hi Mick first of all sorry for your loss, I'm not sure if you can transfer the licence into your mothers name if she hasn't got a PSV licence.
If I was you sell it but its only worth around a €1000 if you have the meter and printer sell them with it might get a couple hundred more as a package.
If the that he was using is less than 3 years old then you could look at selling the car as a complete taxi.
As for renting it out please don't you will be broken hearted chasing €40 a week of a driverand the paper work isn't worth it.
