[follow-up post on gout thread, mod]

As I really want to go walking for another 4 weeks this summer, I'm increasingly concerned about this gout returning. Even though I haven't drunk beer/alcohol in a few months I can feel "it" in my left foot still. I do not want it to torpedo the highlight of my summer once again. If I can't walk I'm going to miss out on a month of fantastic walking/exercise. Would any of you have any suggestions on what sort of things I can do to avoid its recurrence this summer? Thanks.
