Interested in the GP4000s. Are these are the folding, or wire-bead ? as I'll need posting, methinks.
Also, how old are they - ie when did you get them?

Hi, the Conti 4000's are lightweight racing fold up tyres, I have them a year and they are new in boxes.

OK, I thought I knew these tyres, but now I'm confused!........I currently use Gatorskins; leisure/sportif/club rides only and I dont race. I'm going to need to replace the 'skins shortly and read good things about ' the GP4000s' that suggested they were very similar, if a bit 'higher spec' - or at least, that's how I read it.

Are the tyres you are selling primarily a 'race' tyre? If so, they will presumably compromise long life/puncture resistance for good grip/low rolling resistance............?

    Can you clarify......thanks!

Hi Blaaman, The GP 4000 is a good tyre for racing or training, they are very well made and hardwearing, they get great reviews all the time. I think they would roll better and feel more comfortable on the road than Gatorskins.
