renault laguna II radio issue

    Hi everyone! I am having a problem inputting the code in the radio of my laguna. When i turn the radio on it asks for a code, which i have, but so far i have been unable to put it in. So i checked in google and followed the instructions. I pressed the dash down button on the radio controls next to the stearin whel and turn the wheel at the back of the radio controls and that should bring up the first number of the code but this doesn't work. It only starts beepung really loud. Can anyone give me a hand with this?

    Have you the standard radio with the numbers on it for presets?

    If so press 1 the amount of times to put in the first number (ie 4 times if the first number is 4).

    The 2 for the 2nd number etc.

    Then its normally press and hold another button to input it. The 5 or 6 I think. It's been a while since I did it.

    No joy. What i did was turn the radio on, pressed the 1 button 4 times (fist number is 4), then pressed the no 2 once ( second number is 1) and so on then to finish i pressed 5 until i heard a bip and nothing happened, still asks for the code. I read somewhere online i could do a factory reset and i would like to try that but i don't know how. Any help?
    I also tried pressing 6 after imputting th code and still nothing.

    hi ive just bought a laguna but the code is needed for the radio as the battery was changed i wondering would anybody know were to get the code or what the code is thanks

    are you sure you have correct code?,usually you hold the button underneath the steering remote to enter the code but if it bleeps at this point i think the code is incorrect.
