Asking on behalf of someone else.
They're looking to do a good EMT course in the USA. Preferably in new york, but can be very mobile. I'm sure people on here have done EMT training in Pittsburgh and NYC. If anyone could suggest websites where they know a good quality course takes place, I'd be very grateful. many thanks.

If you go to the chat on here you will find a lot of FF and emt/paramedics from New York and surrounding areas. One of them should be able to point you in the right direction.

I cant find the links now but you can find exact National Registry Pass rates for states that require National Registry - so it can be worth having a look at the pass rates for the particular school or college or programme your friend is attending.

Also he may wish to find a course that will allow him extra clinicals - IIRC New York only requires ten hours clinicals which (unless they have previous 999/911 experience) is not enough to learn anything constructive and is certainly not enough to ensure PHECC recognition if they want same.

Some schools (normally the quality ones) will facilitate extra clinicals, sometimes at a small fee (for insurance etc).
