    right lads im thinking about getting a sako 85 hunter 243 , and wondering if anyone know much about them

    Sako 85 is a top class rifle in any calibre as you get an enormous amount of gun for you mun,superb quality and legendary accuracy,and will hold it's value for years. simple as that.....

    Use a 75 Hunter myself. If I were going down the 85 route though, I'd go for the Classic model myself. Much trimmer and sleeker. That's a personal preference though. The Hunter is a great stock. I just think it's quite bulky on a hunting rifle, but I like them really trim myself. Love the look of the 85 Classic. Reckon that's the real beauty of the line.

    I shoot the 75 varmint in .308 a great rifle. The Sako's are the nearest your get to a custom rifle from the factory IMO
