    the following christmas. Other colleges have august repeats but sadly UCD isn't one of them

    Following Christmas; if you only want to repeat the exam, if you want to repeat the module, it has to be when it's on, so could be next summer!! Or a cheeky move if it's not core is to just un-register the failed module, and get a new module, might get away with the fee as well, has worked on previous occasions.

    Picking up a new module as a replacement is probably preferable. You pay more but your GPA isn't capped at 2.0.

    You're a bit screwed if its a core module though
