Lsr after headcold

Went for 8 mile run off road Tuesday, got caught in freezing rain, got a cold for a couple of days - and I never get sick so feels weird.

Anyway, think I'll get back on the road today. Would like to do a 16 mile lsr. I feel kinda 'hungry' to run again, but don't want to pan out miles from nowhere. I appreciate it may be different for different people, but if you were sick for a couple of days would you go straight back out, or take more days off?

It depends on if you are really recovered or not. Personally, I would start with an easy run of about 6 or 8 miles to judge how I feel throughout and after.

I had a bad experience with sickness in a 10 miler this year. Tried to race around even though I wasnt 100% and boy did I pay for it. Absolutely, died at around 8 miles and had to walk to the finish. Spent a week on antibiotics after recovering...Not a nice feeling!

Think I might bring mobile alright. Route is trail but crosses a main road at 8 miles, so if feeling strained will get my wife to collect me.
