I have never heard of this up until recently when I was browsing hardwareversand and speccing out a computer.

The server I'm building will need to be remotely accessible (team viewer and the like), able to run a synching and processing service, and sql server 2008.

Will this OS do this? It's not connecting to a domain, but several computers on a local network would be sending info to, and receiving responses from our server.

It seems to be built on small business server 2003.

    More like 2008 Server.

Teamviewer "Free" may not work as a windows service on a Server OS but I have never had problems with "Portable Teamviewer" on any MS Server OS. Just create a shortcut and dump it into the startup folder in the start menu, crude but works just as well. ;)

Would logmein free suit? Team Viewer should also work if you set it up with trusted machines. What annoys me about team viewer is all the commercial pop ups you get closing the connection etc.

Seriously, Logmein is a pain in the behind. Do they still f*** up video drivers (by installing their own)? ;)

Never had an issue tbh, installing the screen blanking driver is optional. I use team viewer for quick support, but logmein ftw for dealing with the family computers, much less popups and crap the logmein way
