yeah i agree. it depends what kind of college & further education & experience you have.
At some stage the amount of courses you have done after will superceed any secondary school results you may have gotten.

Ok cheers. Is it best to lead with most recent qualifications or does it matter?

There is no set 'rules' for a CV however like the others said it's a good idea to include your secondary school information. (If you are in college presently I would simply state what seconday school you went to and what years you were there for, nothing else).

Yes, the most recent information should appear at the top of the list and then work your way down.

    eg..
    Jan 2012 - Qualified in ........
    Oct 2011 - Qualified in ........

    and so on..

I did my junior and leaving cert in different schools and have both schools on it, just the year and names of the schools with the year I did my exams listed in my qualifications section a bit further down. I only go into detail about college courses.

If you have a few qualifications keep the secondary school bit small. On my CV it's

    Leaving Cert 2006
Subjects: English, Irish, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, French, History,
    5 Honours, 2 Pass
    Received 375 points.
    *name and address of school*

    It really depends.

If you're 21 and just out of college and lack work experience, it's OK to put down the Leaving Cert year and school underneath your entry for the university qualification.

If you hold a degree and an MA, then there is no need whatsoever to put down secondary school information. It's irrelevant at this point and takes up space. Hobbies are also completely irrelevant, unless the hobby is related to the job you're applying for.

Also, when you are established in a profession, work experience should be placed above your educational record.

    (1) Reverse chronological order.
    (2) Once you have a degree loose the LC grades.
    (3) Once you have professional experience then experience comes before education on your CV.
