    Just wondering how people here feel about it because opinion seems to be pretty divided.
    ON the one hand are those, typically American, gamers who think it's the most amazing RPG ever.
    On the other hand is most of Europe who feel it is an over blown load of tosh.

    So, what side do folks here take in the debate.

    Normally this discussion breaks down into petty name calling pretty quick, but I needed a distraction as Steve SI said something disturbing over in the A&R forum just now!

    I have never played the game and don't plan to. Not heard too much about it, good or bad, just not bothered.

    I heard Retr0 loves it so I'll be picking it up when it comes out on PSN next month!

    American's actually don't like the game. Idiots with no taste do. Absolute stinker of the highest order. I can see all the fanboys playing it now when it does get released. It will be like when they open the ark at the end of raiders of the lost ark.

    Fact about this game: The original Japanese version of this game was deemed too difficult for the american audience, so before it was released in America, it was made easier for them to play.

    I love this game, and hope to sweet jebus that its released in Europe 1st of May as well

    It's a good game, it does exactly what it says it does for a game of its year and genre

    I still stand my opinion of it being a good game. (doesn't mean it's the best game ever)

    There's more to things than black and white

    Fact is, I made about €50 on selling it to someone in Australia who wanted it really badly!
    So, I'm happy with that.
    The game really didn't float my boat, and much seemed like a tired retread of the characters seen in FFVII, not to mention the fact that LoD's visuals have really dated badly, and the dreadful localisation.

    It's not just a rethread of FFVII characters. It outright steals the whole second act of FFVII and stretches it out until it snaps for an entire game. Chasing after a black clad mystery man with white hair and connections to a thought to be extinct race? I've never played that game before. Anyway if you were in Dinorex's when we made my girlfriend play it you would have seen the true horror of this game. Sera loves terrible games but she told me that she never wants to even see the box art from the game ever again.

    The game is absolute dirt, it was when it was released. Somethings can argued for but this is like denying the holocaust. At least the RPG experts over at 1up bac me up and hate the game as much as me and it's become a running joke over there.

    If you must however play this game to find out if I'm right or to relive some nostalgia don't say I didn't warn you. This isn't like FFVII where I nitpick it but still think it's a great game. This one is dirt.

    To quote one fan of the game that commented on my blog: 'fag :) LOD is the best rpg of its time, maybe second to FFVII'
