So heading to Lanzarote on my honeymoon on Tuesday April 24th for 10 days, while I am over there I would like to play a round of golf. I have done a bit of research and have found two golf courses, both of which have ok reviews but seem to be really expensive.

    Anyone any experiences?

Haha, ya leaving the clubs here just gonna use Rent-a-clubs, even if I got out once it would be nice. She won't mind at all for one game!! Then to tell her when we come back that I have changed my work hours to suit my golf :D

Yea I played a course called Costa Tiguese over there once about 3 years ago. At the time it was the only course on the Island but there was one being built at the time just outside Puerto del Carmen which is prob the other one you are talking about. The good points to the course was that it was in immaculate condition. Both the greens and fairways were like carpets and I think they use bermuda grass there due to the climate so it was interesting to play off that type of turf. The course itself is interesting enough with various elevation changes etc and nice views, and playing in the nice weather is a real pleasure. The downside is that it is on the side of a hill and as a result it's constantly blowing a gale up there. Also the clubs I rented off them were terrible and the green fee wasn't cheap either. Bunkers were pure gravel aswell if I remember rightly. Glad it wasn't my own clubs I was using! All in all, you are on holiday, the weather is good and it's nice to have a few hours to yourself so go for it. On the day you hope to play, i'd pay attention to how windy it is and if the wind is up, then play the one outside Puerto del Carmen as it's lower down and won't be hit with the wind as much.

Hey Thundercat thanks for your insight, my home course is on the side of a valley (Blarney) so it is always blowing there too. I have played in Tenerife before with simalr conditions and grass so thats good to know. I will defitely go for it, just wanted some opinions.

Sorry for bumping an old thread

Has anyone played the new course on the outskirts of PDC? over soon and wondering is it worth the money ( not cheap if you include club hire )

    cheers
