    quite literally.

When its plugged into the laptop or charger it will give a very mild shock - basically feels like burning if the sensitive skin on underside of arm rests on the bottom of the phone. Also if I'm talking on the phone it shocks the side of my face/ear.

Is this normal? Or am I someday gonna get a proper shock

Only happens when phone is charging

I could be wrong here but didn't somebody get killed by an exploding mobile phone while it was charging a while back. He was using it while it was charging and it blew half his head off iirc.

That doesn't sound normal. The only advice I could give would be to contact HTC to arrange a repair.
