Smoking area in Dublin airport.

I hope this is posted in the correct place but, Mods, please feel free to move it if not.

I'm very well acquainted with the smoking area in terminal 1 at Dublin airport but I will be flying out of terminal 2 for the first time next week and was wondering if anyone could tell me whether there's a smoking area anywhere inside T2 and, if so, where it is.
If not, I'll be stocking up on the Nicorette.
    Many thanks in advance.

No smoking in T2 but you can still walk over to the T1 area if you're feeling fit and that way inclined.

Thanks for that veetwin, it's even worse than I'd feared.

Can I still walk over to T1 once I've checked in and gone through security etc?
Please excuse my ignorance here but I haven't been through t2 before and know nothing about how it's laid out or the facilities or anything else for that matter.

Looks like I'll be stocking up on the Nicorette inhalators when I pack.

Yes, you can walk to T1 on the airside. I think the route to T1 is signposted, maybe as gates 101 - 313.

Sorry for the ambiguity. I know it can be done because Dixons in T2 will often tell passengers to try their store in T1 if they don't have stock of a product.

Yeah OP it's no problem walking between terminals once you are past security. You need to allow about 10 minutes walking time between the shopping area on T2 and the smoking area on T1. However bear in mind that your gate could be up to 10 minutes further on from the shopping area.

In reality you're as well off to delay your entry through security until the last minute and have your smoke outside T2. Just check the queues at security first!
