NEW LG TV NO SKY VOLUME

Hi folks ,I bought a new LG flatscreen TV today and all is going well I have it working fine except when i attach my sky plus box to it the TV wont respond to the sky remote for turning volume up and down ,it is changing channel but thats through the box but the sound itself from tv is not going up or down with my sky remote. Anyone any ideas please as i dont want to have to be using 2 remotes as im having to raise volume up and down with tv original remote

Model is LG 37INCH LCD 1080P

I am not been smart but do you have your Sky help guide book? It will be detailed there. Its just I would imagine instructions could differ depending on Sky box model.

Otherwise do a search on the help section on www.sky.com or post a question on the Sky forum http://helpforum.sky.com/.

I have a Sky+HD box. I am not sure if this is available on all boxes but press the 'Interactive' button on your Sky remote, press the 'down' button until you reach 'Sky Customer Services'. Select 'Program Sky Remote'. Follow instructions. If the extact model for your TV is not there select the nearest one.

You need to "tell" the remote what make of TV you are using.

When you press the volume up or down buttons on the SKyu remote it does not send anything to the Sky box, but instead sends the code for volume up/down direct to your TV.

When Sky do an install the tech quickly programmes the remote to work with your make of TV.

Sky offer support for this. Search online for Sky remote programming or ring Sky and they can guide you through (Sky's number is a premium rate number)

Press tv, then hold select and red buttons for 2 secs ( led will flash) input 206 then press select.
