    Hello All,

We are a family of 5, with 3 children aged 5, 3 and 4 months when our holidays come around in July. For the last 2 years we have travelled to France but are staying at home this year with a young baby.

We are looking for a self catering holiday in a lodge/house ideally attched to hotel with access to the hotel facilities.

We are living in Cork and would like to keep the travel time below 3 hours, does anybody have some good recommendations to meet out needs?

I have seen Waterford castle lodges with look lovely but I don't know of anybody who has stayed there.

    Thanks in advancesmile.gif

We allways book with west coast holidays or through super value breaks there is some great value to be had,we went to ballyvaughan last year which was fantastic and we are heading to Kenmare this year which as you said is a bit near for yourself, two years ago we were in Donegal which was also top notch. Most of the properties with west coast holidays come with nearby hotel facilities.

    Look into the http://www.carltonhotelgalwaycity.com/

It has family suites which is larger and has a kitchenette attached to it. It has a lovely pool, my 2 do swimming lessons there and aside from a kiddies pool it has a medium sized pool so your 5 year old can stand in it and it comes up to about his chin which I find great. They do kiddies club etc there aswell. It's 5 mins drive from the city centre. Other than than that you could try the http://www.galwaybayhotel.net/ in salthill, or further out try the http://www.maldronhotels.com/hotel-galway/ it's in Oranmore about 15 mins drive from Galway city.
Other than hotel's Galway is great for visiting Connemara, Mayo.
The volvo ocean race will be coming in on June 30th for 9 days.

Let me know if you need any more info, be happy to help.
