Updated Bios last week normally never ever do it but hoped it would help with a memory leak type thing with BF3.

Now the CPU temp is just rocketing every time i play BF3 goes 72 fairly quickly, strangly tho it comes down just as fast when exiting the game. So fast im not even sure it went to 72 in the 1st place.

    Asus P8P67 Pro rev 3.1
    I2500k

    Anyone any ideas?

is it overclocked? was it OC'd before you did a BIOS update? it'll be an easy fix going back to the old BIOS, but i doubt thats the problem.

72C isnt bad anyway. i only start to worry it it approaches 80C now.
run HWmonitor in the background while you game and it'll show the max temps it reaches.

No not overclocked, everything running at stock.

Will give that a go, if it keeps happening will go back to old Bios.

New bios brought its own settings.

Went with Default and all is well now.
