I have a classic army g36 that, well, wont fire. Ive stipped it no internal problem(that I could see). No breaks in the wire so dont think its shorting anywhere.

Any way heres the kicker itll fire perfect when the gearbox is out of the gun.
I cant for the life of me figure it out.

    Any ideas???

    Cheers

    Take it off safe??

Soz couldnt resist, Did u check the safety switch though on a serious note? It might not be fitted into the selector plate correctly.

wires may be coming loose in the motor when you put the gearbox in?

Its hardly the fire selector plate not engaging with the cam correctly on the inside of the fire selector switch once you put the gear box back in ?

I had the same problem with my kwa g36c. It was the trigger assembly contacts not connecting with the selector plate. The copper tip on selector plate wears from arcing with contacts.
Replace the plate or try bend up the two contacts a bit, but be careful they snap very easy as i soon found out. I replaced the trigger assembly with one i got in MIA for about 10euro.
