clear perspex sheets

    I am thinking of building a lean to green house ,would perspex sheets be recommended for the roof ?

    Yes, and why not do the whole lot in plastic?

    Use 3mm or 4mm polycarbonate sheeting,

    e.g. from http://goldstarplastics.ie/

    You can email them a cutting list and have it delivered. Give them a call to discuss your requirements.

    There is a place in Ashbourne too.

    Be aware: With most polycarbonate, one side has better UV protection and needs to point outwards, this side is usually identified by writing on the protective sheeting.

    Note, you will (unfortunately - kills us DIYers) probably buy a flatpack lean-to greenhouse from Bend-and-be-screQed for less than you'll make one.

    is there any advantage of perspex over glass or vice versa (apart from cost and breaking)?
