Anyone else hear about this trivial s**** ? Apparently SOPAIreland will be fully enforced on this website now, to restrict the posting of links of even news articles and blogs with only a full paragraph at most. Not to mention the posting of videos (for the sake of pure discussion), can now allow the copyright holder to seek injunctions against the site, potentially blocking it from the irish public. Really, what kind of sad baxtard would seek injunctions for the use of copyrighted material for purely discussion purposes ?

Now although boards has never and will never condone the posting of such copyrighted links, it's always been done in a harmless manner for relevence to a certain topic. Should I be taken to court for posting a daily mail article about let's say Fabrice Muamba in a thread about the player himself ? Do you (even the moderators) think it's really going to be enforced ?? or is it just another scare tactic ??

You are still legally allowed to post links to material just not copy and pasting the whole stories. Mods are just deleting inappropiate material rather than taking posters to court.

The Sabam v Netlog CJEU decision is very instructive on this point, as is Scarlet Extended.
