I've been looking at 14/15z's on the uk outlet site, core i7 8gb ssds seem to be going for decent prices. Plan on ordering one and using deliverme.ie to get it delivered here but it says I need a uk credit card to buy from dell, anybody have experience of this or know some way around it?

I've never used UK outlet (wouldn't either as any saving made will be wiped out and possibly more trying to send it back if it's DOA).

If you don't get an answer on your Card question here, ask over in Banking Forum.

Refurbs and scratch and dent models, seem to be decent enough prices but having trouble with it afterwards would be a worry without a uk credit card

Theres a few uk companies selling dell manufacturer refurbs on ebay which post to Ireland. With the sellers cut they were still working out a good deal. I was told by one seller he could transfer the 1 year warranty to Dell Ireland. I never checked up on it and im a little sceptical, but it might be an option worth looking into.

I bought a dell refurb from eBay before and they transferred the warranty over for me.

From what I remember I used my visa debit with no problems when ordering from the outlet, check deliverme.ie again for details on payment.

Edit: For the 1st line of your payment address use your home address as it would appear of your Credit card, followed by the actual delivery address provided by deliverme.ie .
