Gas drum storage - ideas

I am probably going to use gas for the hob in my new build. I was wondering what the regulations are regarding storage of gas drums. I was thinking I could run a pipe to my garage and store gas drums there. Someone mentioned that may not be safe or allowed. They also mentioned that some people dig out a storage bunker under their footpaths and leave a manhole cover as access to it. I wouldnt imagine I would use that much gas for just the hob. But still I'd probably leave enough room for 2 gas cylinders. Would people typically use standard gas cylinders in this scenario (yellow calor cylinders)?

I know I could just let cylinders outside back of house or even build a little storage area against house or garage for them. I'd prefer to have them out of sight though to be honest, especially as I am at an early stage of building.

Pics or ideas people have seen or heard of would be great help.
