    Hey,

In the middle of building on a 360 sq feet extension onto my house ( standard 3 bed ) which will be open plan and including old dining room/kitchen so overall footage is 550 sq feet.

The old kitchen/dining area had 3 single radiators to heat, I knocked down dividing wall losing 2 rads, leaving 1.

In the new extension ( 360 sq feet ) my builder is putting in 1 x 5 ft double radiator.

Should I stick with this having 1 x double and 1 x single ( 4 ft ) or insist on 2 x double rads - his quote says " to include 2 new radiators "

1st time dealing with a project of this size and unsure if he is trying to pull a fast one.

    Cheers for any advice

    SC

The energy demand has to be calculated, that is part of the building regulations as far as I know.
Once the demand is known the answer is clear.
    Guesstimating is chancing.

Have you seen the calculation sheet?

Where is he getting his calculations from for the radiators? Each room needs to have a heat loss calculation done to determine the required output.
