Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It's so tough trying to pick a university in the uk to apply to. I'm thinking of doing pgde in maths but the options are vast! Anyone got any advice or suggestions?
    Thanks all

    Hi,

I've no idea about what Maths (?) courses are best, but have you considered studing in Scotland?

    1. No fees to pay for students from rest of EU (excepting England/Wales)
    2. Much cheaper cost of living than in the South of England.
    3. Glasgow is the 3rd biggest city in the Uk, and is a really lively place to be. Endinburgh also a lovely city - can't tell you much about Dundee, St Andrews etc.

If fees are not an issue, then of course the quality of the course comes into play. Do some reseach on Google.
Durham is a great place but a popular uni with brilliant reputation so may be difficult to get to.
Newcastle has 2 unis - Northumbria and Newcastle - good town and cost of living reasonable.

    Good luck!

thanks Hadjuk, that's a great start. For some reason I hadn't considered Scotland, but the no fees is a great incentive as oppose to paying 9000 in England!
