    Folks,

Just played first game with new world platinum yesterday and have a couple of questions on the stat scoring.

Layout for each hole on stat scoring is as follows:
    • Score
    • Putting
    • FwyHit
    • Sand Shot
Score and putting is easy. Thats how many shots you had on the hole and how many putts you had on the green. I assume from this information and based on the hole Par, it works out the GIR.

On FwyHit it gives you 4 options. Left, straight, right or tick nothing. What do you do for a par 3 if you miss the green short and straight and put it in the fairway? Do you tick fairway hit straight or tick nothing for all par 3's

Sand Shot: do I tick this if I
    1. took a sand shot
    2. got up and down from the sand
    3. didnot get up and down from the sand.

If your on a par3 I presume it should only be calculating gir and not fir. If it recognize the course your on then surely for scores it know where the par 3's are.
    Re sand yes to all

How did you find the Gps? Happy with it? Do you think it will help your scores?

    OK, based on yesterdays round.

If I tick nothing for FwyHit on par 3's then I had
    • Fairways hit 69%
    • Left 23%
    • Right 7%
    • GIR 61%
If I tick straight for FwyHit on par 3's (lets assume they were all short and in the fairway) then my FwyHit stats change to
    • Fairways hit 77%
    • Left 16%
    • Right 5%
    • GIR 61%
It recognizes the course alright, so which is it?

I had 2 sand shots yesterday. both were out and 2 putts.

My stats say sand saves 2/2. I ticked sand shot twice when I played a sand shot. One hole I had a par the other I had a bogey. This doesn't seem right??

I think I am happy with it but have only played 1 round. I found it useful when gauging approach irons, def made me think twice RE my selection for the better more then once.

The touch screen isnt great to be honest, if your used to the accuracy of smart phones you will be a little disappointed. Its also hard to select icons in the corner of the screen as the screen is recessed, its better to use an object.

At the end of the the day I shot a 78 (+8) with three off the tee on 2, was four over after 4. All that with a putting average of 2, so im not too disappointed:)
