We bought two axolotls last week and I have been searching for some nutritious food for them, we bought live meal worms only to find out that they cannot digest them properly and can end up impacted or generally injured from the worms strong jaws.

We have frozen bloodworm and a brinshrimp/spirulina mix for them but I've heard live earthworms are the best. Does anyone know where I can get some or even order some? I can't seem to find any in our local pet shops
I know I could dig some up but I don't want to risk it as I don't know what they carry

    Cheers

They love their earth worms.A fishing tackle shop would be your best bet to get worms.

I was going to try a tackle shop but one of the pet shop staff told me bait worms are raised differently and arent suitable for lotls? I don't know anything about worms so I just took his answer as fact
