I have an iphone 4s running on ios 5.1. I was recently using my personal hotspot and it seemed to be working well, however today I tried to use it and I was able to turn it on when I did so I was brought back to the main settings menu. There is now no personal hotspot option available in my settings. I have tried resetting my network settings and rebooting my iPhone none of them worked. I use my personal hotspot for my laptop and my Samsung Galaxy tab. Please can anybody help me!

Might be relevant to say what network you're on and if you're billpay or PAYG. I think some networks block hot spotting depending on which type of data plan or GB allowance you have.

This has also happened to me. Everything was fine on it until about 3 days ago.

I can still go through the process of selecting the option to connect to the phone from the iPad, or the iPad from the phone.....but the connection no longer works and I go no further from this point.

I had been using the personal hotspot for about 3 months without problem. I am on an all you can eat bill with o2 so I see no reason why this would happen.

Husband had to do that reset this morning, Vodafone iPhone 4. It just disappeared itself
