Plenty of stuff going on here:

JIM ROSS and William Regal call the main event between Cesaro and Steamboat (21:28)
Conor O'Brien's entrance is pretty awesome for development (2:00)
Husky Harris debuts his new Cape Fear character (19:45)
And tonnes more featuring a large cast of names

Watched it Sunday and it was pretty fun.

Yep. They are trolling themselves due Meltzer getting the word out that FCW was closing down:

what a main event, made even more special with Regal and JR on commentary.

Husky's promo was awesome aswell, (glad to see they found something for Eli Cottonwood)

Seriously, get rid of NXT redemption and have these guys mix it on that show instead.

watched it last week, The matches are good but I hate the crap with Maxine, Curtis and the whole Rex/Hawkins kidnapping storyline.

Matches could be moved to Superstars, (which actually has 30+ mins of wrestling)

Me thinks we watch Wrestling for different reasons. :P

Personally I love the NXT above from the bottom of my heart but that is a topic for another thread!

The daft stuff we see on NXT is probably better experience for the younger wrestlers as they get to work on Personality rather than just ring work. Ring work can be worked on at house shows.

look at Tyson Kidd for example, he has had a chance to talk he would never have if he only appeared on Superstars.

anyway, yeah, FCW, cool I will watch this later on.

Did you notice at the 8min mark the guy coming in was using Mike Knox's music.

The main event was excellent and Husky's character looks quite promising.

This was excellent well worth watching, I loved the main event, pity the guys would never get a chance to put on a 20 minute display like that up on the main roster.

I agree with both you and rovert, NXT is great entertainment lately, I think Curtis is just hilarious (does he ever wrestle though?) but then you have to fast forward through some of the wrestling especially anything involving Darren Young and Titus O'Neill. Generally they have some gems hidden there like Tyson Kidd and Justin Gabriel a few weeks back

Curtis wrestled this week's episode actually. here the forgotten guys and girls in wwe get actual time to wrestle. it might not have big names but it's a lot more entertaining and consistent than raw and smackdown have been

JR kinda annoyed me. He obviously doesnt watch the show as he kept calling Cesaro, Cesar. Not just once or twice, he'd do it for a few minutes then say Cesaro but be back to Cesar again fairly quickly. He also no sold Regal several times. At least acknowledge his comment even if you think it's crap. Just ignoring them made it awkward.

I dont want to turn this into a bashing post as FCW is usually the best weekly show imo. But there were a few other things. Draw's are way overused in the 15 title matches. Once in a while is fine but it seems like it happens very often. I think it'd also have been useful if the commentators pointed out that Cesaro cost himself the title. He was 1-0 up until the 18th minute. Had he not asked for 20 minutes instead of 15, he'd have won 1-0. Not a single mention of it.

Last thing was Husky Harris. The guy seems to change gimmick every few months. Everyone knows it's the same guy so such a big gimmick change just makes him look like an idiot. His new gimmick appears to have it's own backstory too, we have already been told his backstory several times, just changing it isnt the best idea.

i'd say they think WWE casual fans memory is quite bad, anyway it's better that they iron out a workable gimmick in developmental instead of on WWE tv.

perfect example of this was Dolph Ziggler

Jim Ross and William Regal's call of Cesaro and Streamboat is sublime.

Go out of your way good.

Regal's story about Claudio and the Calf is outstanding.. He really should be calling every show WWE produces..

Id love if they got Smackdown and became a counter balance to the sport entertainment sh*te on Raw like Cole & Tazz did in the early to mid 00s.

They should give better names. I know a Conor O Brien and he doesn't exactly strike fear.

The final FCW show ever/for now who knows

*FCW TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Corey Graves & Jake Carter (c) vs. CJ Parker & Mike Dalton
*NO DISQUALIFICATION MATCH: Audrey Marie vs. Paige
*ONE YEAR IN THE MAKING - THE REMATCH: Dean Ambrose vs. William Regal

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,448 ✭✭✭Garseys

Ambrose vs Regal: Made even better with JR on commentary.

What a psychological match. so well done.

Can't wait to watch this later.

Hope they pull the trigger on Ambrose soon

Rhodes and JR's commentary for the divas match was equally brilliant and borderline sleazy "shes got the leg, and the thigh - its like ordering a #2 at KFC", "the, eh, sternum area - not to be too personal"
and when discussing Paiges slight wardrobe malfunction "hey look her bra - her whatchacall it" "thats a strap, course we cant call it a strap we have to say title, but thats definitly a strap" "cant say belt either"

Does anybody like Husky Harris's new gimmick Bray Wyatt??

I think it's very good and he play's it well. Looking forward to seeing where he goes with it.

I like the kiss on the forehead bit, very maniacal preacher, yet convincing.

    NXT spoilers
He got injured on a recent taping. Luckily, he does have the quasi-psycho schtick to fall back on in recuperation, a la Orton in 2008.

I've buying into Ambrose big time, for a long time, but I'm still not entirely invested in his offense. I still find it a bit airy, like the Miz's. He's got a bit of grit with it, though, which works.
