Hair and make up

    Hi,

I am starting to look for people to do hair and make up. It would be in my house for me, two BMs and my mum. I have a flower girl too but hadn't included her in quotes. So far I'm getting quoted 250 for all hair and 250 for all make up. So 500 in total. Is this good or bad? I've no idea what it should be. I'm in Dublin.

    Thanks,
    PC

That's roughly €60 per person, which is what I was quoted too. A friend of mine was quoted €75 per person so I think 60 is good in that case! Just make sure you have some sort of review or feedback about these people and get a trial.

When you look for people who specialise in wedding hair and makeup, your quote is about average. However if you wanted to make it cheaper, you could try booking mobile hairdresser/makeup artists who do nixers. I got hair and makeup for 300 for 5 people by doing this. Now I was delighted with results, but some people might prefer going with people who specialise. I don't think you're being ripped off with the quote you were given but I was on a budget and couldn't afford that.
