dual monitor set up

    Hi,

    I would like to connect 2 screens to my cpu using the onboard graphics card and another graphics card added, and i tried doing this and it didnt work.

    My mother bopards is Asrock nfg6 and my graphics card is Geforce 8500gt.

    You should plug both monitors into your graphics card.

    Have you tried to hook up two monitors to the onboard Geforce 6 (1x VGA, 1x HDMI) or to the 8500 GT (1x VGA, 1x DV-I) rather than 1 monitor to each card? The onboard adapter might be disabled when you plug in an addon card.

    Are the drivers for the 8500 installed?

    nope I havent as I dont have the splitters,

    oh thanks for telling me I thought the Geforce needed a DvI spliiter.
