    hi,

I dont know if this is the right forum but I give it a go. a neighbour let her 2/3 year old out on the street until 7 or 8 in the evening, I have not seen a coat on the little girl, she looks dirty and plays on her own. I feel horrified by the fact that the little girl is on her own with no supervision (her house is about half a mile away), imagine something bad happened like kidnap or god knows what. what to do?

Make a report about it with your local garda station and the social worker on call at your local health clinic.

TBH I cannot believe you are thinking twice about it. I would not hesitate in contacting someone. If it isn't the Guards then deffo social services. This poor child needs a chance in life.

You should report this to a social worker, Its all anonymous!
Poor girl, I was walking at that time last night and it was in no way mild or warm. Child doesn't deserve this and doesn't know any better.
    This annoys me.

No doubth the mother was nattering to a friend over a vodka or coffee and a fag rather then looking after her child.

No doubt?.. and tell me ehat it is from the posters telling of this that leads you to believe this?

Jesus... the poor mother might be out of her head with depression for all you know. Nattering over a vodka? She might not be able to lift her head off the pillow from depression or God knows what else.

OP make the call for the mothers sake as well as the child, she might need the help every bit as much as the child does.

thanks all... I know now for sure I will contact social services and I should have done it straight away (this girl is wandering the streets for a while now) It is just that you dont want to interfere with other people's lives and how they bring up their children.
and yes; the mother could be drunk, depressed or anything in between and possibly need help.

    thanks

True point - shouldn't have made a judge/remark like that.
    Just annoys me.

My heart goes out to the young girl and by the sounds of it either way the woman needs some sort or form of help.
