    Hi,
I'm thinking of buying a tablet, look for opinions for best tablet (including iPad)

I have a laptop, it's old and slow to boot up.
I also have an iPhone but don't like it for 'quick internet' browsing.
So I think a tablet would be 'nice to have'.

What would I use it for-
    general internet browsing.
besides that I'm sure that I'd use it for other stuff.
I'm into photogrpahy but I store my photos on my laptop so I don't know would I load them onto a tablet to view as well.
I guess a large screen would be nice

    Cheers in advance,
    Pa.

I bought a Blackberry Playbook after I had problems with my Archos 101. They playbook is 100% better and even though the screen is smaller, it is way better. It is half the price of most tablets on the market at around €205-€220. www.komplett.ie have it for €205 or €219 in currys. It even came with a cover. Fantastic. If you go to Youtube you will be able to see the reviews. Good luck.

Am thinking of getting the Playbook, but early reviews suggested that unless you had a Blackberry phone tethered, there were many things you couldn't do. Has this requirement been removed? Can you download from the Android Market without any problem, for example?

    Op

Watching pics on iPad is a fantastic experience however they may be an issue with data storage on board.
As for Asus transformer prime, it would be a perfect solution for you with the expandable memory slot but then again
There is far too many issues with reliability.

Ipad > What works for me is online storage, The dropbox would be the best example.

As for Asus prime, get one from Amazon UK, they have an excellent policy on money refund if something goes wrong with a device.

You can tether with any device that has bluetooth. he things you cant do are probably unimportant. Like editing your calendar or tasks on your phone via your PlayBook. The android apps are being ported by devs to the app store but you can side load apps that are free but have not been ported to BlackBerry. The native BlackBerry app store has grown substantially since the early days too.

    Thanks for replies so far.
The transformer prime does look very good, a hybrid in a way/best of both worlds ina way.
It's the opposite of cheap though....

Looking at the opposite end of the spectrum are there any cheap tablets that are good/pleasant experience and have a 10 inch screen?

You could pick up the Motorola Xoom wifi for 350 on the carphone warehouse website. It's due to get ICS in the next month or two, or you could flash it yourself.
