These wrist bands should be manditory in races. I know most of my club mates only know me by first name and possibly surname too, but after that very little. Having important contact or medical info like this on you I think is so important when riding solo or even in a race.

Have been meaning to get mine done again cos it was badly scratched when I crashed. Have ordered again just now. Thanks for the discount code...

I just carry my C.I. license card in my jersey pocket during races. That has name and address, and I think the guards can find out the rest in a couple of minutes.

This cuts out all that plava though. This is immediate pertinent information.

    What other information? Blood type?

Yeah, it might be a number of hours before the Guards or hospital manage to get hold of the right people you'd want called. I'd rather a paramedic or nurse to call my wife than a Guards to be honest.

Anyway pertinent information in my book is:
    Name, Address, DOB.
    Mobile contact for Wife/Partner/Mother.
Paramedic/Dr Information: Any Known Allergies, Any Medical History, Blood Type, Low Pulse Rate, current medication. The usual questions these guys need to know if you're unconcious or in shock and need to treat you.

Anyway, it's a pretty morbid subject and I don't like thinking about it very much :(. It's just a good idea, that's all :).

Need to update mine with some new details now so thanks for this reminder thread.

If a medical person found me collapsed on the side of the road at a running race then the information on my RoadID should be enough for them to sort me out and get me up and running again quicker than they would able to find my contact details via my race number and calling the next of kin. I'd have details written on the back of my number as well, but that is maybe not obvious to everyone that might find you.

I do wear my RoadID all the time though due to it being useful to be as identifiable as possible wherever I may be found.

While for some people that is fine, i live alone and have no relatives in Ireland. With the road ID i plan to put my ICE contact details on it, who then has the details of my NOK in Australia.

Ever since finding myself in A&E with no idea of what day of the week it was, and the rest of the family in the UK on holiday, I've tried to remember to wear this on the wrist, together with this on the helmet

It obviously works, as I've not been concussed since (or at least if I have I cannot remember it ...);)

I like this on the helmet: "In Case of Emergency - Pull Tag".. I expect there to be some kind of nitro boost when you find yourself being dropped ;)

Better off not putting blood type on it as a test can be done on the side of the road with results within seconds.
Main reason i got one is my ICE number in phone which is protected by a pin cant be accessed if i'm not compus mentus. Not to mention the better half insisted. i wear mine all the time now just like a livestrong band ;)
