    transfer to pc
open up your ipod in windows explorer
    open up your folder settings
change setting to 'show hidden files and folders
you should now see a folder called 'ipod control' (i think)
open that folder, there will be lots of numbered folders in it, these contain your music
find your target folder on your hard drive and drag n' drop to your hearts content
    simples!

Edit: http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/how-to-tech/how-to-transfer-songs-from-ipod-to-computer3.htm this link explains in much more detail than i'm bothered to via mobile! G'luck
